Behind the lens here at the Wildlife Gallery is Doug Wallace a retired Hvac contractor and a lifelong Outdoor enthusiast. Doug grew up in a little Mississippi River town 75-miles north of St, louis, Missouri called Louisiana. In his early years you could find him exploring the rivers, creeks, hollers and woodlots within walking distance of home, most activities centered around hunting, fishing, trapping if he wasn’t out hustling a dollar. Reading books from the likes of Roark, Hemmingway and others along with magazines like Outdoor Life or Sportsman Afield fueled his passion for Wildlife living in those wild places & accounted for many sleepless nights for him, lying awake dreaming of taking his own adventures he’d read about in those publications, species and places that were hard to imagine for a rural Missouri kid.

Today his passion for chasing Wildlife in Wild places still exist and shine through in the Authentic Wildlife Images you’ll find here on this website.
