This Hen Wood-Duck is looking up into the morning sky like she must be smelling the coffee brewing - actually her mate was calling to her as he was coming in to join her at one of our local wetlands here in Boone County, Mo. Striking poses, a beautiful species early in the morning is what I get up for.
